What we collect, why we have it, and who processes it.

Updated 19 October 2026

Branch Fit is a fitness marketplace where coaches publish training and members follow it. This covers branchfitapp.com and the Branch Fit app.

What we collect

  • Your account — name, username, email, profile photo and bio, and your training goal.
  • Your training — workouts, sets, reps, weights, duration and streaks, and any notes or photos you attach.
  • Nutrition — meals you log, barcodes you scan, and photos you take of food for an estimate.
  • Location, when you use the run and walk tracker — the route you take, recorded as a series of GPS points, along with distance, pace and duration. This is only recorded while you are tracking, and only if you grant location permission.
  • What you post and send — posts, comments, community messages, and direct messages.
  • Payments — what you bought or sold, and when. We do not receive or store your card number.
  • Technical data — the usual request information every website receives, and push notification tokens if you enable them.

Your route data

Routes are yours alone

A saved route is a record of where you were. It is visible only to you, in your own training history. It is never attached to a post, shown on the feed, or shared with a coach — not by default and not by a setting, because publishing a route is a decision about your home address as much as your run, and the app does not offer to make it for you.

Your food photos

A photo leaves the app

When you ask for an estimate from a photo, that photo is sent to Anthropic to be analysed, and the estimate comes back to you. We store the result and whether the call succeeded. Anthropic does not use data sent through its API to train its models.

Who processes your data

We use these companies to run the service. Each only receives what it needs to do its job.

  • Clerk — sign-in and account security.
  • Supabase — the database and file storage holding your training, posts and uploads.
  • Stripe — payments and creator payouts. Stripe handles card details directly; we never see them.
  • Mux — hosting and streaming video you upload.
  • Amazon Web Services — live video for one-on-one coaching sessions.
  • Anthropic — estimating nutrition from a photo, as above.
  • Vercel — hosting the app itself.

Two services receive information without receiving anything about you: barcode lookups go to Open Food Facts, and map tiles come from OpenFreeMap. Neither is told who is asking.

What we never do

  • We do not sell your data.
  • We do not advertise to you or share your data with advertisers.
  • We do not share your training, nutrition or route data with anyone except as described here.

What other people can see

Your profile, posts and the communities you join are visible according to the settings you choose — a post can be public or for subscribers only, and you can change that at any time. Your workouts are private unless you share them to the feed or into a community. Leaderboards show your name and your totals to people in the same community, or to people who follow you and whom you follow back; you can turn off activity sharing in Settings.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from Settings → Privacy. Deleting it removes your profile, posts, workouts, nutrition logs, routes, messages and uploads, cancels any subscription you pay, and cancels subscriptions other people pay to you. Some records are kept where the law requires it — payment records, for example, which Stripe retains for tax and accounting.

Content you contributed to a shared space may remain where removing it would destroy other people’s context: a community you created continues without you rather than being deleted with its members’ history inside it.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data. Most of it you can reach directly in the app; for anything else, write to support@branchfitapp.com and we will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under the GDPR or the CCPA, including the right to object to processing and to complain to a regulator.

Children

Branch Fit is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, write to us and we will remove it.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top is always the date of the current version.
